Blood Chemistry is the Ultimate Window into One's Health

Blood chemistry is the ultimate window into one's health. To establish a baseline of health and disease, there is nothing more effective and affordable than a comprehensive blood chemistry panel.  Moreover, it is covered by most insurance plans. A routine panel can screen for disorders and risks related to blood sugar, electrolytes, liver, kidney, heart and blood. Along with a complete blood count or CBC, it can reveal the presence of infection, inflammation, anemia, as well as deficiencies in iron, Vitamin D, B12 and folic acid. Blood nutrition is a new, science-guided approach we use in our office, matching your blood chemistry results to best prescribe dietary and nutraceutical interventions to address many common conditions.

When interpreting blood chemistry lab results, there is a Functional or Optimal Range and a Pathological or Lab Range.   Test values that fall outside the Functional Range but not the Pathological Range are considered subclinical but  can indicate the beginning stages of disease. It is our goal to identify these subclinical problems and prevent them from developing into full blown medical conditions. For instance, if we detect pre-diabetes, we can often treat it successfully using targeted nutritional nutrients and dietary modifications, preventing the need for diabetic medications including insulin.

Most health practitioners today use only the Pathological Ranges and do not address the subclinical findings, ignoring the warning signs.

Benefits of a Comprehensive Blood Chemistry Analysis:

  • Provides early detection of emerging, life-threatening health conditions.

  • Determines which nutritional, homeopathic and/or botanical products will best address your individual needs.

  • Avoids wasting money on "The Supplement of the Month".  In other words, on products that provide nutrients that you are not deficient in.

  •  An inexpensive way to determine how effective your nutritional program has been and make precise adjustments when needed.

  • Maintaining your blood marker values within the optimal ranges will allow your immune system to function more effectively, allowing you to utilize nutrients more efficiently and support a higher quality of health and life.

Nutritional Analysis of Your Blood Test May Indicate the Need for:

  • Diet and lifestyle changes

  • Nutritional support of metabolic pathways

  • Key nutrients such as Vitamin A, B6, B12, D

  • Fluid and electrolyte balance
